Our Story
Prevention, Intervention, and Postvention.
Pieta first opened its doors in Lucan, County Dublin in 2006. Since then, we have supported more than 70,000 people experiencing suicidal distress or engaging in self-harm.
Today, Pieta provides services and supports nationwide. We employ more than 300 therapists and support staff, and demand for our services continues to grow.

Pieta also operates a national Freephone helpline (1800 247 247) and a dedicated Research, Training and Advocacy office. Operations Assistant
- Coordinate aid distribution to orphanage children and other distressed children or individuals.
- Schedule day-to-day activities and coordinate travel plans.
- File, organize correspondence, conduct internet/email archive research.
- Answer calls, organize calendars, and support administrative projects.
- Assist with errands and other offcial tasks as assigned.
Relief Distribution Officer
- Aid Distribution & Logistics
Coordinate the delivery of food, clothing, medical supplies, and other essential resources to communities in need. Community Engagement
Work directly with beneficiaries to understand their needs, ensure fair distribution, and provide compassionate support.Emergency Response
Assist in rapid deployment during crises such as floods, fires, or other disasters, ensuring timely relief reaches affected families.Collaboration & Reporting
Partner with local organizations, volunteers, and government agencies to maximize impact, and provide clear reports on distribution activities.Inventory & Resource Management

Humanitarian Field Officer
- Street Outreach
Engage directly with individuals experiencing homelessness in public spaces, shelters, and community areas to build trust and gather information. Needs Assessment
Conduct interviews and assessments to understand health, housing, and social support needs, documenting profiles accurately and respectfully.Referral & Support
Connect individuals to appropriate services such as medical care, housing programs, and social support networks.Data Collection & Reporting
Maintain detailed records of outreach activities and profiles, ensuring data is accurate, confidential, and used to improve services.Collaboration
Work closely with local charities, healthcare providers, and government agencies to coordinate support and maximize impact.Advocacy
Represent the voices of homeless individuals by highlighting their needs and challenges to stakeholders and policymakers.
